Since our technology lab serves all grades, we do everything from drawing programs and learning games for the younger set, to typing and spreadsheets with formulas and functions for the middle school, to coding and special design projects for high school. While the particulars differ, we have the same goal for all ages. We are preparing our students to be innovative problem-solvers in the modern world. Our talented technology teacher thinks of it as "the difference between a driver and a mechanic." In his own words, "These days, almost every adult knows how to drive, but fewer and fewer know how to fix the cars they drive. Drivers are common, mechanics are rare. In the same way, the future will be brightest for those who not only know how to use technology when everything goes right, but those who also know how to fix technology when something goes wrong."
